Elden Ring Merchants
On this page
Merchants are scattered across the Lands Between and, importantly, their stock is not duplicated: each one carries different goods. Buying from a merchant also does not anger them, so there is no reason to hold back if something looks useful.
Who sells what
Merchant Kalé sits inside the Church of Elleh in Limgrave and sells the essentials, including a crafting kit. Nomadic Merchants are camped along roads and in ruins, each with their own inventory and some unique items. The Isolated Merchant on the west coast of the Weeping Peninsula is the usual first stop for anyone exploring south early.
At the Roundtable Hold, the Twin Maiden Husks sell upgrade materials, armour, and boss remembrances once you have the right items. Smithing Master Hewg handles upgrades and Ashes of War, and Roderika upgrades Spirit Ashes once her side quest is done.
The bell bearings
When a merchant dies or is found dead in the world, you can take their Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks. Handing it over adds that merchant’s entire stock to the shop at the Roundtable Hold, so you never have to travel back to a specific camp.
Miners’ Bell Bearings work the same way and stock Smithing Stones by tier, which is the most useful upgrade to the shop in the game.
What is worth buying early
- A crafting kit, so you can make your own consumables.
- Stones for whatever weapon you have committed to.
- Any limited-stock item that raises flask uses or memory slots.
- The odd piece of armour that fixes a resistance problem.
Buying does not scale with your level, so a merchant’s prices stay the same all game. If a shop item looks expensive now, it is often the cheapest it will ever be relative to your income.
