Elden Ring: Red Wolf of Radagon Strategy

Get to the Debate Parlor without turning the runback into the fight
The Red Wolf is Raya Lucaria’s first required boss. From the Main Academy Gate, use the lift into the academy, work through Church of the Cuckoo and Schoolhouse Classroom, then enter the fog at the Debate Parlor. The Academy Glintstone Key route covers the gate if you have not reached it yet. Touch each Site of Grace on the way so a failed attempt is a short reset, not another tour through the graveyard.
The Wolf looks small beside earlier bosses, but it covers distance quickly and mixes bites, leaps, summoned sword swings, and glintblade spells. Your aim is not to chase it around the room. Stand at a distance where you can see the cast begin, move through the spell pattern, then meet it when it finishes a leap or bite chain. One or two attacks are enough before it resets.
The floating glintblades are an invitation to move sideways. Avoid rolling backwards in a straight line until your stamina is empty; the blades and the Wolf can arrive together. Let the projectiles fire, dodge their path, and look for the Wolf’s follow-up. A close bite sequence normally ends in a short recovery, while a spell cast often leaves it exposed long enough for a measured punish.
| Attack cue | Response |
|---|---|
| Glintblades form over the Wolf | Keep moving sideways and wait for the projectiles to commit. |
| Leaping bite | Roll toward a safe side, then turn for one short punish. |
| Summoned sword sweep at close range | Dodge the swing late or block if needed; do not answer before the chain ends. |
| Wolf backs away to cast | Reposition first, then close after the spell has passed. |
Use the small arena to keep it on screen
Unlocking the camera can help when the Wolf jumps past you, but lock back on before attacking. The main risk is losing its position during a cast and eating a bite from off-screen. A Spirit Ash can hold it still briefly, yet it also makes its target changes less predictable. Use that time for a safe flank, not a long charged attack.
The reward is a Memory Stone, which gives an additional spell slot. The door beyond opens the Debate Parlor Site of Grace and the academy’s next route toward Rennala. Spend a moment there to set flasks and sort spells; the courtyard ahead is a larger navigation problem, and a rested approach is better than trying to recover after a rushed boss win.
