Elden Ring: Dectus Medallion Locations and Grand Lift Route
On this page
The Grand Lift of Dectus needs the two halves of the Dectus Medallion. The left half is at Fort Haight in Limgrave; the right is at Fort Faroth in Dragonbarrow. Neither chest requires a boss kill.
Take the left half from Fort Haight
Fort Haight is south of Mistwood in southeastern Limgrave. Enter through the main gate, climb the ramparts, take the ladder in the tower, and open the chest at the top for the Dectus Medallion (Left).
If you are still working through the opening regions, treat this as a side stop rather than a demand to race north. A useful first Limgrave route can help establish flasks and a weapon before you make the longer trip east.
Get in and out of Fort Faroth
The other half is in Fort Faroth, south of the Minor Erdtree in Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow. From the entrance, run to the rear door, take its ladder, and open the chest directly ahead for the Dectus Medallion (Right). You can take both halves without defeating a fort boss.
The dark ground floor contains bats and stronger enemies than the Fort Haight approach. Run past them toward the ladder if you only need the medallion. The chest is above that first ladder; dropping into the fort’s other rooms takes you away from this pickup.
Activate the Grand Lift
With both halves, travel to the Grand Lift of Dectus at the north end of Liurnia. At the platform, choose the prompt to hoist the medallion. The joined item activates the lift and connects Liurnia with Altus Plateau.
The lift’s Site of Grace is in the right aisle of its building. If you still need the academy, use the Academy Glintstone Key route first. If you are ready to continue, the game progress route gives the larger context for Altus and the capital.
