Mortal Shell IIV4mp Wiki

Mortal Shell II Deadeye Stone Location

On this page

Deadeye Stone is in the camp near the entrance to Sanguine Caverns. Look for the canvas shelter and the chest against the rock beside it. This Support Tarstone improves ranged Critical Damage.

Start at Sanguine Caverns

  1. Enter Sanguine Caverns through Stonebled Gate. Continue until the enclosed passage opens into the rocky camp area.
  2. Look down toward the camp. You can follow the cavern path down instead of taking a blind drop from the cliff.
  3. Head toward the canvas shelter shown below. Clear the nearby enemies before circling it.
  4. Check the rock wall beside the shelter for the chest. Open it and collect Deadeye Stone.

The shelter marks the correct camp; the chest is beside it. You do not need to defeat The Lost Child to collect this stone.

What Deadeye Stone changes

Equip Deadeye Stone in a Support slot. Its bonus increases the damage of ranged critical hits. It does not say that every shot becomes a critical hit, so distinguish Critical Damage from Critical Chance when comparing your loadout.

The stone’s menu lists successive ranged Critical Damage bonuses of 20%, 30% and 40%. Equip it while fighting to build its experience, then use Franz’s Tarstone upgrade service when it is ready. That service requires the Etching Needles.

Continue through Sanguine Caverns

If you are collecting ranged equipment, the next nearby route is Blackblood Stone through Pulsing Caves. Deadeye changes critical-hit damage; Blackblood changes how a compatible Sidearm’s projectiles behave. Check the equipment requirement before trying to use both.
