Mortal Shell II Builds

A build needs one clear answer
A Mortal Shell II build starts with the problem you want solved. Pick a Shell for its role, a weapon for its moveset, a Sidearm for the gap your melee choice leaves, then Tarstones that trigger from the same plan. Shells and weapons can be mixed, so this is a toolkit rather than a permanent class choice.
| Build | Shell | Core pieces | How it works |
|---|---|---|---|
| Potency of Poison | Tiel | Serpent Stone, a primary weapon | 15 Resolve infuses four strikes with Poison at level 1 |
| Love of Lightning | Proxima | Voltaic Crown, Sidearm | 30 Resolve infuses four Sidearm attacks with Lightning at level 1 |
| Fear of Frost | Eredrim | Warden’s Stone, primary weapon | 30 Resolve infuses four strikes with Frost at level 1 |
| One Punch | Gragu | Unwieldly Stone | charged heavy attack that gains Leech on kill |
| Fists of Fury | Smert | Acolyte’s Stone | Resolve-powered charged light attack |
| Inferno of Infinity | Lazlo | Inflamed Clawstone | 30 Resolve infuses four weapon strikes with Burn at level 1 |
Test before you temper
Do not copy a build because every piece is famous. Fight one normal patrol and one dangerous target with the base version. If your heavy weapon keeps missing in a narrow route, switch weapons before investing more. If your Sidearm consumes Resolve you needed for a defensive response, change the role it plays.
These are build directions, not locked classes. Weapons work across Shells, so move the same Tarstone plan to another Shell when you want a different defensive tool or Resolve capacity. A build becomes stronger when its Shell, effect trigger and follow-up all point at the same job.
Build from the failure, not the effect name
Start with the last problem that ended a route. If groups crowd you, choose a Shell or Sidearm that creates space and a weapon you can recover from quickly. If a boss gives one long opening, use a weapon and Tarstone plan that converts that opening into posture pressure or a prepared effect. If your health disappears during a rush, choose the defensive Shell tool before adding another damage layer.
- Pick the Shell action you will use when the plan goes wrong.
- Choose the primary weapon that lands in the opening you can see.
- Assign the Sidearm to the gap the weapon cannot cover.
- Add a Tarstone only when its trigger matches those first three choices.
Run the setup through one normal route and one hard target before upgrading it further. A build that works against a known patrol gives clearer feedback than a first attempt on an unfamiliar boss. No entry here is a current-meta ranking; it is a route for testing a coherent loadout.
