Vampires Are Forever is a paranormal romance novel by Lynsay Sands, published in 2008 and part of the Argeneau sequence. It is built around two people who already know each other professionally: Inez Urso and her business associate Thomas Argeneau.
Inez has started to notice things about him that do not add up. He has an allergic reaction to the sun, his night vision is excellent, he has very little appetite for food, and then he tries to bite her neck, which he would prefer she read as a sign of passion. Each of those details is easy to explain on its own and much harder to explain in combination.
For his part, Thomas has decided that Inez is the most beautiful woman he has seen in centuries and that he cannot resist her, elegant neck included. Inez has a rule about not mixing business with pleasure, and the book is the contest between a very old man's certainty and a working woman's determination to keep her professional life separate from the rest of it.
