Vampire Most Wanted

Vampire Most Wanted is a paranormal romance by the Canadian writer Lynsay Sands, published in 2014 as part of the Argeneau series. It is set partly in southern California and partly among the carnival people who give the book its travelling backdrop.

Basha Argeneau is the woman at the centre of it. She has cut herself off from her family, and anything, including the heat of a Californian summer, is preferable to being found by them and taken back to a past she cannot outrun.

Marcus Notte is the immortal sent to bring her in. Lucian Argeneau has asked for her to be brought back for questioning, and Marcus means to carry out the request, whatever the woman herself has to say about it and whatever she can read in his mind.

She is not willing to make it easy for him, and he is not willing to be put off, and the novel follows the two of them through a pursuit in which the person doing the chasing begins to have doubts about the errand.
