Season synopsis

Geralt of Rivia earns his living killing monsters, but his encounter with Renfri leaves him condemned by the people of Blaviken. Elsewhere, Nilfgaard's army destroys Cintra, and Princess Ciri escapes with an instruction to find him. The bard Jaskier joins Geralt on the road, giving his reluctant companion songs and publicity while the princess travels through unfamiliar country, pursued by enemies and frightened by her own power.
Yennefer's path begins with being sold and taken into magical training under Tissaia de Vries. Her relationship with Istredd offers companionship within a demanding education. Later, working as a mage brings danger rather than the security she expected. Geralt meets her while seeking help for Jaskier after a djinn attack. Yennefer tries to control the creature, and Geralt uses his remaining wish to save her. The two become lovers after surviving the collapsing house.
The stories unfold across different periods before converging. At a royal feast, Geralt protects the cursed Duny, whose claim to Pavetta rests on the Law of Surprise. Ciri's flight continues long after that gathering. As Nilfgaard advances, Yennefer joins the mages defending Sodden and unleashes fire against the attackers before disappearing. Geralt, wounded while saving a merchant from ghouls, is carried toward safety. He and Ciri finally find one another in the woods, and she asks him about Yennefer.
