Season synopsis

Geralt takes Ciri to Kaer Morhen, hoping the witchers' home will give her protection and training. It does not keep danger outside. Eskel dies after becoming a threat, and Ciri's blood draws attention because of its power. She learns to fight while visions and unfamiliar monsters raise questions that Geralt cannot answer. His investigation with Istredd points toward the connections between worlds, while Triss helps explore Ciri's abilities.
Yennefer survived Sodden but has lost her magic. Suspected by the Brotherhood, she refuses to execute Cahir and escapes with him. The demon Voleth Meir offers to restore her power if she delivers Ciri. Yennefer finds Geralt and the princess at a temple, then takes Ciri away while he fights Rience. When the girl understands the danger, Yennefer's bargain has already put their reunion at risk, and Geralt follows with Jaskier.
Voleth Meir possesses Ciri and returns to Kaer Morhen, killing witchers while keeping the girl trapped in an illusion of her family. Geralt reaches for Ciri rather than treating her as an enemy. Yennefer offers herself as a vessel, helping free the princess, and her magic returns. The three face the Wild Hunt after crossing into another realm and return together. Political enemies now want Ciri and those protecting her dead. In Cintra, Emperor Emhyr is revealed as Duny, her father, whose pursuit has driven Nilfgaard's campaign.
