Dark Souls Remastered: Asylum and Taurus Demon
On this page
The first Asylum Demon encounter is a lesson in leaving a bad fight. Take the exit, collect your weapon, then return through the proper fog gate. Keep close enough to bait a swing, roll away from the impact, and take one or two hits while the hammer is recovering. The high ledge gives a plunging opening, but do not keep forcing it once the boss has moved away.
Taurus Demon is a bridge fight with two jobs. Climb the ladder before the fog and remove the archers, or their arrows will turn every dodge into a gamble. When Taurus appears, use the same ladder for a plunging attack if the opening is clear. After that, fight near the broad part of the bridge, not with your back against the fog gate. Bait a horizontal swing, roll through or away from it, strike once, and reset.
If the bridge feels too tight, your camera is probably doing more damage than the boss. Unlock briefly to keep the feet and bridge edge in view. Do not roll backward blindly off the side. Winning opens the Parish route toward the first bell; Base-Game Progression shows where that route continues.
