Season synopsis

Din Djarin searches for other Mandalorians who might lead him to the Jedi and a home for the child. On Tatooine, marshal Cobb Vanth gives up Boba Fett's armour after Din helps kill a krayt dragon. Carrying a passenger to Trask leads Din to Bo-Katan Kryze, whose campaign to reclaim Mandalore introduces a different Mandalorian tradition and a personal interest in Moff Gideon's Darksaber.
Bo-Katan directs Din to Ahsoka Tano on Corvus. She learns the child's name is Grogu and that he once trained with the Jedi. After they free Calodan from its magistrate, Ahsoka declines to train him because of his attachment to Din. She sends them to Tython instead. There, Grogu reaches out through the Force, but Gideon's forces destroy the Razor Crest and capture him. Boba Fett and Fennec Shand join the rescue effort.
Din removes his helmet during an infiltration with Migs Mayfeld to obtain Gideon's coordinates. The rescuers then board the Imperial cruiser, where Din defeats Gideon and wins the Darksaber in combat. Bo-Katan cannot simply accept it from him. Returning Dark Troopers corner the group until Luke Skywalker arrives and destroys them. Din takes off his helmet again to say goodbye, giving Grogu permission to leave with Luke for training. The rescue succeeds, but father and child part ways.
