Season 7

Season synopsis

Contains spoilers for this season and earlier seasons.

Common People follows Mike and Amanda after a subscription service replaces her damaged brain tissue. Increasing restrictions and charges force Mike into degrading paid performances online. Amanda’s ordinary speech becomes advertising, and cheaper service leaves her asleep much of the day. During a brief premium interval, she asks Mike to end her life. He suffocates her when the advertising takes over, then returns to his broadcast carrying a blade.

In Bête Noire, Maria’s new colleague Verity appears to change facts everyone else accepts as ordinary. Maria discovers a device that moves Verity between realities, allowing revenge for school bullying. After killing Verity, Maria takes its controller and begins reshaping reality for herself. Eulogy instead follows Phillip through photographs of his late former partner Carol, uncovering a letter he missed and a chance at reconciliation he lost.

Phillip eventually recovers a memory of Carol playing the cello and attends her funeral. His guide is connected to Carol’s daughter, whose existence helps him understand the breakup differently. The story gives him a fuller account of their past rather than a reunion. That private reckoning sits beside the season’s returning space crew, whose escape from Daly has left them struggling to survive inside Infinity.

USS Callister: Into Infinity brings the real Nanette into contact with her digital counterpart and exposes Walton’s exploitation of a cloned Daly at the game’s core. Captain Nanette kills that clone, triggering the game’s destruction, but transfers herself out before it disappears. She awakens in Nanette’s body with the surviving crew sharing her senses. Walton is arrested, while their new life together leaves Nanette searching for a less crowded solution.
