Pussy follows Christopher during a hijacking scheme, pretending to be an FBI agent while trying to gather information. His surveillance causes a traffic accident, and Skip reprimands him for acting beyond his role as an informant. Richie also defies limits, continuing to sell cocaine through the garbage operation. Tony imposes a financial penalty. Richie approaches Albert Barese about moving against Tony, but fails to secure his support, leaving the proposed challenge short of the men it needs.
Junior initially entertains Richie's plan, then recognises his inability to build support and tells Tony about the threat. Tony arranges for Silvio to kill Richie. At home, Tony tries to end his relationship with Irina, who attempts suicide after the breakup. He visits her in hospital, and Silvio later offers money to help her move on. Carmela also sees Vic, whose refusal to pursue their attraction has left her with an affair she imagined rather than experienced.
Before Tony's plan can be carried out, Richie argues with Janice about his son's dancing and sexuality. He punches her, and she returns with a gun, shooting him twice. Janice calls Tony, who comes to the house and takes charge of the aftermath. Christopher and Furio help dispose of Richie's body. Tony confronts Livia, then sends Janice back to Seattle, removing his sister from the household after the sudden killing of her fiancé.
