Tony suffers severe food poisoning and moves through a series of fever dreams. Images of his associates and a talking fish bring his suspicions about Pussy into focus. He visits Pussy with Silvio and searches the bedroom while pretending to use the bathroom, finding concealed recording equipment. The discovery gives him physical evidence of the betrayal he had resisted accepting. He then invites Pussy to join a boat trip, presenting the outing as an ordinary purchase inspection.
On the boat, Tony, Silvio and Paulie confront Pussy about his work for the FBI. He admits providing information but tries to minimise the harm, insisting he withheld matters that could seriously implicate them. The men drink tequila and exchange memories before the conversation ends. Pussy asks them to spare his face. All three shoot him, then wrap and weight his body before pushing it into the sea, returning from the trip without their longtime companion.
The family faces another interruption when Livia is caught using stolen airline tickets Tony supplied from Davey's business. Police arrest Tony at home, embarrassing Meadow as she prepares for her graduation. He is released in time to attend the ceremony the next day. He also tells Christopher that he is being proposed for membership in the organisation. The graduation party brings the household together, while Davey's ruined finances have changed both his marriage and Eric's college plans.
