Season synopsis
Contains spoilers for this season and earlier seasons.
Homelander recruits Sister Sage to help him take control of the country, deepening the divide between his followers and Annie's supporters. A-Train secretly assists Mother's Milk and the Boys, then goes into hiding to protect his family. Butcher is dying after his use of Temp V, and the Compound V he takes does not cure him. Instead, it gives the tumor inside him a dangerous power of its own.
The team works to stop Victoria Neuman from reaching the presidency through Singer's death while seeking a Supe-killing virus. A shapeshifter replaces Annie, steals their information and threatens the operation before the real Annie kills her. Ryan becomes another point of conflict: Grace Mallory tries to keep him in a room and train him against Homelander, but he pushes her into a wall, killing her, and walks away from Butcher.
Neuman finally offers to help the Boys against Homelander in exchange for protection for her daughter Zoe. Hughie persuades the team to accept, but Butcher interrupts the meeting and tears Neuman apart with his tentacles before taking the virus. Singer is arrested after footage makes him look responsible for her death. President Calhoun declares martial law and gives Homelander command of deputized Supes. The fleeing Boys are captured separately; Annie regains her powers and escapes while Kimiko cries out as Frenchie is taken.
