Season synopsis
Contains spoilers for this season and earlier seasons.
Homelander's rule leaves Hughie and other prisoners inside Freedom Camps while Annie continues resisting outside. She interrupts a public event with footage of the abandoned Flight 37 rescue, but Vought dismisses it as fake. Butcher organizes a camp breakout with Kimiko and a tunnel-digging Supe. A-Train saves Hughie from Homelander, but his former leader catches and kills him, ending the speedster's attempt to make amends for his earlier crimes.
The campaign later costs Frenchie his life. To keep Homelander from reaching Sage, he traps himself with him in a uranium chamber and buys the others time. Kimiko finds Frenchie dying after Homelander leaves. Her new blast becomes central to the final assault: the team tests it on Sage before Ashley helps them enter the White House. Annie takes on the Deep while Butcher, Ryan and Kimiko confront Homelander inside.
Kimiko's blast strips away their powers, leaving Butcher to kill a mortal Homelander with a crowbar. Ryan refuses Butcher's offer of a fresh start. Butcher then tries to release the Supe-killing virus through Vought's sprinklers, forcing Hughie to shoot him before he can carry out the plan. The surviving Boys bury him beside Becca. Mother's Milk remarries Monique, Kimiko moves to France, and Hughie turns down Singer's offer to lead the revived bureau, choosing his shop and a family with Annie.
