Helly returns to Lumon after Helena impersonated her during the retreat. Milchick confirms that Irving has been permanently dismissed, and Dylan demands a funeral for his innie. Mark is discouraged because Helena has told management about his search for Ms. Casey. When he takes his anger out on the team, Helly insists she is a separate person from her outie. Dylan later follows Irving’s final hint and finds directions to the exports hall behind a break-room poster. He leaves the card hidden while Milchick undergoes a performance review in which Drummond rejects his attempts to treat the innies more kindly.
Outside Lumon, Devon reads Ricken’s proposed edition of his book for innies and objects to its propaganda. Ricken is tempted by the recognition and money Lumon offers. Burt admits he has been following Irving since the overtime contingency and invites him to dinner with his husband the following day. Reghabi, now staying in Mark’s basement, tells Mark that Lumon has access to the morgue and that the ashes he keeps are not Gemma’s. Reintegration then brings Mark a vision of leaving the break room. In the hallway he sees Gemma as Ms. Casey, reciting facts about his outie, and begins to cry.
