Miguel and David search for the informant who exposed the apartment, placing Enrique and Jorge under growing suspicion. Jorge tries to hide his colleague, but Enrique is eventually captured and tortured. Pallomari has also disappeared from the refuge where the cartel expected to find him. Every missing person and unexplained contact gives David another reason to question Jorge's version of events.
Peña seeks Don Berna's help recovering Christina Jurado from the guerrillas holding her. That brings him back to the Castaño brothers and their paramilitary force, repeating an alliance whose violence has already compromised his work. Their armed assault reaches Christina and gets her out, but she condemns the killings carried out in the name of securing her safety and her husband's cooperation with the DEA.
Jorge survives his own interrogation by planting the American pager on Enrique, turning the device that connected him to the DEA into evidence against his colleague. Enrique is killed while Jorge returns to Paola overwhelmed by what has happened. He tells the investigators that the cartel knows his informant code name, exposing a leak and making another attempt against Miguel urgent. Peña reaches the airport with Christina believing that they can now reunite her with Franklin. Instead, Franklin is murdered in custody before his testimony can deliver the case Peña needs.
