Tony's gambling losses strain his relationship with Hesh, who asks about repayment of a two-hundred-thousand-dollar loan. Tony responds with resentment, insists on paying interest and makes insulting remarks in front of his associates. Hesh fears that pursuing the money could put him in danger. Carmela meanwhile sells her spec house to Brian and his wife. Tony wants to gamble part of her profit on a football game, but she refuses. When the team wins and Tony has only a smaller wager on it, he angrily blames her for the missed opportunity. Their argument becomes physical before they later reconcile and he promises to curb his gambling.
Marie Spatafore asks Tony to help Vito Jr., whose behavior has worsened since his father's death. Tony and Phil each try speaking to the boy without success. Marie wants money to move the family to Maine, and Tony eventually agrees, but he gambles away the amount he has set aside. He instead recommends a cheaper disciplinary program and dismisses Marie's concerns about harsh treatment. Staff arrive to take Vito Jr. away against his will while his mother and sister cry. A.J. proposes to Blanca, who accepts reluctantly before ending the relationship. Hesh then loses his partner Renata when she dies unexpectedly. Tony visits to offer condolences and finally returns the full loan in a paper bag.
