Spoilers for Stranger Things season 1 episode 7.
Lucas warns Mike and Dustin that the laboratory agents are coming. The children flee the Wheeler house on their bicycles and reunite with him during the chase. When a van blocks their escape, Eleven sends it flying over them and into the pursuing vehicles. At the junkyard, Lucas apologizes for doubting her, and the boys repair their friendship. Hopper hears about the girl who broke Troy's arm and connects her to the laboratory. Nancy reaches Mike over the radio, and Hopper persuades him to reveal their hiding place. He arrives at the junkyard in time to stop agents searching the abandoned bus where the children are sheltering.
The group comes together at Joyce's house, but Eleven cannot find Will or Barb with the radio. She suggests recreating the sensory deprivation tank. Dustin gets instructions from Mr. Clarke, and everyone gathers salt, water and a children's pool to build one in the school gym. Joyce promises to stay beside Eleven while she searches. Eleven finds Barb dead, then locates Will inside the Upside Down version of Castle Byers. He is weak and asks them to hurry. Hopper and Joyce leave to reach the gate at Hawkins Lab, while Nancy and Jonathan retrieve their hunting supplies to draw the monster away. Guards surround the two adults outside the lab. In the other world, the creature breaks into Will's hiding place.
