Pacho settles his account with the Salazars before surrendering, joining the other Cali leaders in comfortable custody. Their bought protections still threaten to undo the arrests. Peña needs Guillermo Pallomari's testimony in the United States to build a case the cartel cannot quietly settle. Jorge agrees to help find the accountant, returning to danger even though his own family is finally preparing to leave.
Pallomari's wife Patricia has been having an affair with Fredy Moya, whose contact with her provides a route to the hiding place. David also pursues Fredy and extracts the location through torture. Peña's team reaches the family first, but Navegante corners Jorge in his car as the extraction begins. Jorge kills him and gets Pallomari's family away. David's attempt to continue the pursuit ends when North Valley gunmen kill him.
Pallomari testifies, and Peña makes the corruption surrounding the investigation public. The episode follows the cartel leaders beyond their first imprisonment: Chepe escapes and is killed, Pacho is murdered in custody, and the Rodríguez brothers are extradited to the United States. Jorge and his family enter witness protection after his cooperation is recognised without erasing his own criminal liability. Peña resigns rather than accept the protected victory his superiors offer, then returns to Texas and tells his father that he is finished with the work.
