As a child, Sylvie was taken from Asgard by Renslayer and escaped the TVA using a stolen TemPad. On Lamentis, she and Loki now face death together, and their growing connection produces a branch the TVA can detect. Hunters retrieve them and return them to custody. Mobius puts Loki in a punishment loop where Sif repeatedly confronts him for cutting her hair, then questions his attachment to Sylvie. Loki tells him that TVA employees are abducted variants. Mobius initially rejects the claim, but Renslayer's account of C-20's death gives him reason to look more closely at what she is hiding.
A recording on Renslayer's TemPad shows C-20 describing memories of her former life, confirming Loki's warning. Hunter B-15 separately asks Sylvie to restore her own memories and discovers the happiness she lost. Mobius releases Loki to help expose the lie, but Renslayer catches them and orders Mobius pruned. Loki and Sylvie are brought before the Time-Keepers, where B-15 frees them to fight the guards. Sylvie severs one keeper's head and discovers that the figures are androids. Before Loki can finish speaking to her, Renslayer prunes him too. Sylvie overpowers the judge and demands answers, while a scene during the credits reveals Loki alive among four other versions of himself.
