Matt interrogates Felix Manning and learns that Vanessa ordered Ray's murder and Fisk arranged Julie's death. He directs Dex towards Julie's body, turning the impostor's rage against the man who manipulated him. Foggy meanwhile meets Seema and obtains Ray's recorded declaration, which names the crimes and corrupted agents he witnessed. Karen brings it to the Bulletin so the account can reach the public while Fisk prepares to marry Vanessa and celebrate with the criminals paying for his protection.
Ray's video reaches the wedding guests as Dex arrives in the red suit and attacks. Matt intercepts him, and the fighting moves towards the penthouse, where all three opponents collide. Fisk protects Vanessa and breaks Dex's back. Matt defeats Fisk but stops short of killing him, refusing to let their conflict destroy the principles he has almost abandoned. Instead, he threatens to expose Vanessa's part in Ray's death unless Fisk returns to prison and leaves Karen, Foggy and Matt's identity alone.
Fisk accepts the bargain, and the police take him into custody. Matt speaks with Maggie about forgiveness and asks her to remain part of his life, then delivers Lantom's eulogy. Foggy resolves the threat to his family's business and proposes a new firm with Matt and Karen, recognising her value as an investigator. Their reunion gives them work to share beyond the masks and secrets. Dex survives for experimental spinal surgery, opening his eyes as the procedure continues.
