Mike spends the day visiting his jailed former crew and assures them their money will keep coming. Walt proposes hiding the new meth operation inside Vamonos Pest: crews can tent houses for fumigation while Walt and Jesse cook inside. The first mobile cook works, but the money is divided among dealers, the pest company, Saul and Mike’s imprisoned men. Walt is unhappy with his smaller cut, especially the hazard payments, and compares the result unfavourably with his old arrangement under Gus. Walt also encourages Jesse to consider what would happen if Andrea discovered his secret life.
Skyler’s strain becomes harder to hide. While talking with Marie at the car wash, she starts to smoke and then breaks down, shouting at Marie to stop. Marie confronts Walt, and he lies that Skyler’s distress comes from an affair with Ted and Ted’s accident. Jesse tells Walt he has broken up with Andrea. Walt ignores the news and reflects on Victor’s death, wondering aloud whether Gus killed him for trying to cook meth without permission. As Walt talks about Victor taking liberties beyond his place, the comparison hangs over Mike’s dispute with Walt about hazard pay. Jesse looks stunned as Walt walks away.
