Problem Dog

Contains spoilers for this episode and earlier episodes.

Skyler tells Walt that the dealership will take back Walter Jr.'s Dodge Challenger. Angry, Walt drives it to a lot, spins until it is stuck on a concrete divider, then burns the ownership papers and blows up the car. He gives Skyler a large share of his lab earnings, and she sees how hard it will be to launder the money through the car wash. The cash is mostly in fifty-dollar bills. Hank takes Walter Jr. to Los Pollos Hermanos and gets a cup bearing Gus's fingerprints.

Walt prepares ricin for Jesse to hide in a cigarette and presses him to kill Gus. Jesse has an opening at a meeting between Gus and a cartel representative, but decides against shooting. Back at his recovery group, Jesse describes killing Gale as putting down a problem dog. When the group leader urges him not to judge himself, Jesse angrily admits he used the meetings to sell meth. Hank then shows Gomez and Merkert that Gus's fingerprints match those found in Gale's apartment, strengthening his theory that Gus runs a large meth operation. Jesse also considers poisoning the coffee he serves at the meeting, but is interrupted. Hank explains that a lawyer stopped his inquiry into Madrigal, the restaurant chain’s parent company.
