DEA agents guard Hank and Marie after Saul's anonymous warning, and the White family joins them. Walt tells Skyler he will stay behind. Hank suspects the threat is tied to his investigation of Gus and asks Gomez to search the industrial laundry, where Jesse and Tyrus work in the hidden lab below. Gus blames Walt for the police attention and wants him killed, but Jesse refuses to cook if Gus harms Walt. Saul gives Jesse his share of the business money and tells him Gus threatened Walt's family. Gomez and a police dog find nothing at the laundry despite the cooks working underneath them.
Andrea calls Jesse to say Brock is seriously ill. Jesse discovers his ricin cigarette is missing and concludes Brock took it. He confronts Walt with a gun, accusing him of poisoning the boy. Walt argues Gus could have taken the cigarette to turn Jesse against him, pointing to Gus's past use of a child in the drug trade. Jesse accepts that Gus may be responsible, and the two agree to work together. Jesse refuses to leave Brock at the hospital, disrupting the cook. Walt plants a bomb under Gus's car, but Gus senses danger and walks away. The episode ends with Walt's plan failing at the hospital.
