Contains spoilers for Better Call Saul season 6 episode 11 and earlier episodes.
A flashback returns to Saul Goodman’s first meeting with Walter White and Jesse Pinkman in the RV. Saul quickly realizes that Walt is the chemist behind the blue meth and agrees to represent the pair. Mike later warns Saul that Walt is a high-school chemistry teacher with cancer and advises him not to work with him, but Saul goes to Walt’s school to pitch himself as counsel. In Omaha, Gene calls Francesca at the pay phone arranged for their check-in. She tells him that his assets and businesses have been seized and that Kim had called to ask about him. Gene then phones Kim’s workplace in Florida.
The call with Kim turns into an argument, and Gene smashes the phone booth after hanging up. He tries to return to his new life but instead resumes a scam with Jeff and Buddy, targeting men who are drunk at bars. Jeff gives the targets drugged water in his taxi, then Buddy photographs their financial information at home. When Buddy refuses to rob a target after learning the man has cancer, Gene insists on finishing the job himself. The episode ends with Gene breaking into the man’s house. Gene once dismissed Mike’s warning about Walt, and now rejects Buddy’s objections to another crime.
