Irene tells Jimmy that Sandpiper has made a settlement offer, but follows her lawyers’ advice to wait for a larger payment. Jimmy tries to persuade Howard to accept, since the payout would bring him a large share, but Howard refuses. Jimmy manipulates Irene’s friends so she feels she is hurting them by holding out. She agrees to settle, and Jimmy returns to tell Kim. She is absorbed in preparing for a meeting with a new oil-company client and leaves in a hurry. Kim has taken on extra work to cover the office expenses while Jimmy’s licence is suspended, and her schedule is wearing her down.
Mike takes a security-consulting position at Madrigal, giving him a formal way to receive payments tied to his stolen money. Hector bristles when Don Eladio’s arrangement puts Gus’s trucks to work for the Salamancas too. Hector’s medication has been switched, but he gets through an attack after taking the capsules. Nacho tells his father he works for Hector and asks him to use the upholstery shop as a front; Manuel refuses and orders him to leave. Howard and Chuck clash with their insurer, which says Chuck must work under supervision or HHM will pay more. Howard demands Chuck retire; Chuck responds by suing the firm for his share. Exhausted, Kim falls asleep at the wheel and crashes.
