Audrey returns to CTU withdrawn and unable to answer questions about Cheng. Dr. Bradley attributes her condition to the drugs used during her captivity and proposes another drug treatment to force a response. Doyle argues that Jack might reach her through their relationship and shared experience of imprisonment. Nadia initially defers to the doctor, leaving Jack in custody while CTU needs information that could help recover the stolen component.
Doyle lets Jack escape his cell, and Jack takes Audrey away from medical before Bradley can proceed. He shelters her in a storage room and speaks to her gently while security works to get through the door. Audrey finally says 'Bloomfield.' Nadia stops Bradley from treating her and promises Jack that she will protect Audrey. The name leads to a former copper facility, supported by particles found on Audrey's clothes.
Russia learns that Cheng has the component and threatens military action unless the United States retrieves it. Lennox traces the leak to Mark Bishop, who has secretly copied information from Lisa Miller's PDA during their affair. Daniels discovers both the espionage and Lisa's relationship, then orders her to help mislead Bishop. James Heller arrives to take Audrey out of CTU. Before leaving, he confronts Jack, blames him for her suffering and tells him never to approach his daughter again.
