Stellar Blade: Parry, Evade, Blink and Repulse
On this page
Four answers, separate timings
Block reduces frontal damage while held. A Perfect Parry is a precisely timed Block that negates the hit and damages enemy balance; repeat it across a sequence to work toward stagger and Retribution.
Dodge moves Eve out of danger. A last-second Perfect Dodge avoids the hit while keeping her near the enemy. It is useful when a parry is awkward or several enemies make a full string difficult to read.
Blink and Repulse are special responses that must first be unlocked in the Skill Tree. Check their availability during early progression and practise each one after buying it; neither is an automatic property of an ordinary Dodge.
| Prompted response | Input and result |
|---|---|
| Blink | Press toward the enemy and Dodge when Eve’s weapon flashes; Eve moves behind the target |
| Repulse | Press away from the enemy and Dodge on the weapon flash; Eve knocks back and exposes a weak point |
The default presentation commonly cues Blink in blue and Repulse in purple, but do not rely on the enemy’s first colour flash alone. Wait for Eve’s weapon cue and the displayed input. PlayStation lists Color Alternatives and control reminders, so the exact visual presentation can differ with accessibility settings.
Practise each move separately. Parry one familiar string, Perfect Dodge one larger swing, then rehearse Blink and Repulse in Skill Training after they unlock. Getting Started connects those reads to energy; Camps and Quests explains where training and upgrades live.
