Upgrade Warrior Armor at the Blacksmith

Upgrade warrior armor through the Blacksmith’s Enhance Equipment menu. Start with the Blacksmith already placed at your base, that menu available, and a piece of warrior armor with an unused upgrade level.

Match the item to its specialist

The Blacksmith upgrades warrior equipment. Ranger equipment goes to the Huntress, while mage equipment goes to the Alchemist. If you bring the wrong class of gear, change specialists instead of assuming the item cannot be improved. Equipment specialists

Carry the armor you want to improve. Before spending anything, compare its armor values and perks with the alternatives you own. Rarity determines how many upgrade levels an item offers; the rarity label alone does not raise its base stats.

Choose the armor and upgrade

Interact with the Blacksmith, choose Craft, then open Enhance Equipment. Select your warrior armor and read its next enhancement and displayed cost. Enhancement menu

Check both the amount and type of material required. Equipment enhancements use Runes or Legendary Runes, so ordinary Runes may not cover every upgrade. Use the menu’s enhancement action when you have the required materials. Armor upgrading

Reselect the armor and check its new upgrade level or unlocked perk, then look at your remaining Runes before buying another enhancement. If no upgrade is available, check whether the armor has already used its upgrade levels.

To fund the next enhancement, salvage an unwanted weapon. Restore worn tools and weapons separately with Workbench repairs.
