Borrow Two Pawns From Other Players
On this page
You are never alone in Dragon’s Dogma 2, but you are still playing single player: your company arrives as Pawns, described as mysterious otherworldly beings.
One Pawn is yours
Players can customize their own main Pawn, who always accompanies the Arisen. Because that one is permanent, it is the Pawn worth shaping carefully, and it is the only member of the party you control completely. Losing that Pawn is therefore a different problem from losing anyone else.
Two more come from other players
You can enter a covenant with up to two additional Pawns from other players through the network. The store says the result is an adventure so unique you will feel as if accompanied by other players while on your own adventure, which is the closest thing to co-op described anywhere on the page.
Physics, AI and graphics are the promise
The store says these elements are elevated further through physics technology, artificial intelligence and the latest in graphics. Whatever that means moment to moment, the party is the part you plan, so knowing who is coming matters more than hoping the systems will cover a gap you deliberately left open.
The character and vocation choices behind your Arisen are covered in choosing your Arisen and vocation. Deciding what to fight is covered in reading the monster before the fight.
