Repair Equipment with Scrap Parts
On this page
Restore a worn tool or weapon at the Salvage and Repair Station. You need a Basic Workbench, 5 Wood, 5 Copper Bars and Scrap Parts. If you have no scrap, bring equipment you are willing to destroy.
Build the station
Craft the Salvage and Repair Station at the Basic Workbench using 5 Wood and 5 Copper Bars. Place it and open its interface. A shortened or missing green bar on an inventory item shows that it has lost durability. Station recipe and durability
Use the blue repair control
Press the blue button to enter repair mode, then click the damaged item in your own inventory. This spends Scrap Parts to restore its durability. More missing durability means a higher repair cost, so one Scrap Part is not enough for every job.
The yellow button is for reinforcement. For an ordinary repair, use the blue control and check that the item’s green durability bar has returned. Repair controls
Get scrap from unwanted equipment
Place only expendable equipment in the station’s salvage slots above the large gray button. Check every occupied slot, then press that button to break those items down into materials and Scrap Parts. Salvaging destroys the items; it does not repair them.
Leave the gear you want to keep in your inventory. After gaining scrap, return to the blue repair control and repair that gear. If supplies are tight, start with the tool you need next.
With your tools ready, return to planting crops or prepare a cooked meal.
