The School for Good and Evil #3 is a fantasy novel by the American writer Soman Chainani, published in 2015 and the third book of the series.
Sophie and Agatha used to be best friends and then became something far more complicated, and by the end of the previous book they had gone their separate ways with their story apparently settled. What happens instead is that the book they are in starts being rewritten, and theirs is not the only story affected. With the two of them apart, Evil has been able to take over the school and the wider world, and the side of Good is in serious danger. The novel asks whether the two of them can work together again, and whether the ending they were searching for was ever the one they were going to get.
It is the third book about the school, and the two former friends are at the centre of it.
