All Together Dead
Sookie Stackhouse has been betrayed by the vampire she had been with for years, and she is trying to work out what to do about the new man in her life when she is drawn into a summit of the vampire states, held in a hotel with a great deal of politics going on behind the doors.
About
All Together Dead is a novel by the American writer Charlaine Harris, published in 2007. It is the seventh of the books narrated by Sookie Stackhouse, a Louisiana cocktail waitress who can hear what people are thinking, and she has her hands full with every sort of undead and paranormal creature imaginable.
The supernatural creatures she has learned to live among are now part of her ordinary working life, and her love life has been left in pieces after a betrayal by the vampire she had been seeing for years. A new relationship has begun with a shapeshifter named Quinn, and it is still new when the long-planned vampire summit comes around.
The summit brings the vampires' leaders together in one place, with the human staff and the guests who serve them, and it is tense: the vampires have their own rivalries, and Sookie's ability to read minds makes her useful to some of them and a danger to others. The book follows what happens in the hotel over the days of the meeting.
