AION 2’s PvE is built around scale and variety according to the store, and it lists more than 200 dungeons across three different formats.
Three dungeon formats
The formats named are solo challenges, 5-player party content and 10-player group dungeons, which covers a wide spread of group sizes from one to ten. Knowing which format you are heading into is roughly the difference between a quick session and one you have to schedule with other people.
Character creation and collection
One of the most advanced character creation systems in an MMORPG is the store’s claim, with over 200 customization options and countless outfits, mounts and wings to collect. In a game where appearance is part of the stated pitch, collecting is a progression track in its own right rather than a side interest.
The Shugo Festival
The festival brings mini-games to Atreia: protect the Shugos from waves of enemies, race pets against other players, dodge lasers and more. The rewards are named too, including wings, skins, pets and décor, which places the festival inside the same economy as everything else you do.
