Crisis Theory

Spoilers for this episode.

Caleb places Dolores's control unit in a replacement body. Memories of military training in a Delos park begin returning to him, connecting his past with the hosts' world. As Caleb heads for Incite, Charlotte disables Dolores during her confrontation with Maeve, allowing Serac to take her prisoner and search her mind for the missing Delos data.

Serac orders Dolores's memories erased when the search fails. Maeve discovers that his words follow instructions from Rehoboam through an earpiece. In their final exchange, Dolores asks Maeve to give humans the same chance to choose that hosts have fought for. Maeve turns against Serac, kills his guards and wounds him. Dolores's final stored memory carries Solomon's program, transferring control of Rehoboam to Caleb. He orders the system to erase itself. Maeve explains why Dolores chose him: during his military training, he prevented other soldiers from abusing hosts. Dolores remembered his decision to protect them and trusted him to choose again. Caleb leaves with Maeve as the unrest outside continues.

William shoots Stubbs and escapes Bernard. A host wearing Lawrence's face brings Bernard an address that leads to Arnold's elderly wife, Lauren, and a conversation about their dead son. Bernard later realizes that Dolores entrusted him with the key to the Sublime and enters it from a motel room. After the credits, William reaches a Delos facility in Dubai, where Charlotte and a host double of William are waiting. The double cuts his throat, leaving his immediate fate unresolved as host production continues. A second scene shows Bernard waking under a layer of dust.
