William remains shut away with visions of Emily, the daughter he killed in Westworld. Charlotte persuades him to dress for a Delos board meeting, saying his voting power can stop Serac's takeover. Their departure becomes a trap when she exposes how much she knows about his hallucinations. She arranges for him to be committed, and William faces a vision of Dolores in the institution.
Dolores and Caleb drain Liam Dempsey Jr.'s accounts before following him to a masked charity event. Bernard and Stubbs are there too, assuming Dolores has replaced Liam with a host. Their attempted abduction proves that Liam is still human. Dolores fights Stubbs while Caleb pursues Liam, and Bernard discovers that the replacement is Liam's security chief, Conells. The host Conells then reveals whose mind he carries: Dolores has made copies of herself rather than bringing a group of different hosts into her plan.
Serac sends Maeve through Singapore's criminal networks to trace the bodies Dolores has had made. At a distillery, she finds a host with Musashi's face calling himself Sato. He also contains Dolores, as does the host impersonating Charlotte. Maeve challenges this decision to populate the new world with versions of one person. The Sato copy stabs her and leaves her wounded. Back in Los Angeles, Caleb corners Liam and reunites with Dolores, while Bernard remains in the custody of her Conells copy.
