Weems tells Wednesday that repairing her relationship with Morticia matters to recovering her powers, but Wednesday seeks a shortcut through Hester instead. Her grandmother directs her to the grave of raven psychic Rosaline Rotwood. Enid interrupts the ritual there, and the girls wake in each other's bodies. They have until dawn to reverse the exchange. Living as Wednesday exposes Enid to her friend's secrets and literal allergy to colour, while Wednesday discovers Enid's possible alpha status and Bruno's hidden girlfriend. Their anger spills into public embarrassment and arguments before Morticia forces Weems to explain the danger. Understanding each other becomes necessary to returning to their own lives.
Isaac meanwhile reunites with Françoise and Tyler, determined to use his machine to separate his sister from her Hyde. He kills Professor Orloff and takes the power source from the professor's life-support system. Agnes witnesses the attack and secretly follows him to Willow Hill, but Tyler discovers her. Wednesday and Enid interrupt the experiment to rescue her, with Wednesday transforming while inside Enid's body to overpower Tyler. They escape and return to Rotwood's grave, where honest admissions about fear, loneliness and family allow them to switch back. Weems then delivers a changed warning. Enid's death is no longer the immediate prediction; Wednesday's intervention has placed a member of the Addams family in danger.
