Carver offers to foster Randy but cannot bypass the screening process. He must leave him in a group home, where the other boys attack him as an informant.

Bodie tells McNulty that he will help bring down Marlo, refusing to betray former Barksdale associates. Monk has seen him with the detective, and Marlo orders his death. Bodie stays on his corner as Chris and Snoop approach; O-Dog shoots him while he is distracted. Michael is given a different victim for his first killing and takes over Bodie’s territory. McNulty, devastated by Bodie’s death, returns to Major Crimes. Carcetti rejects state help for the schools rather than accept the political cost. Wee-Bey agrees to let Namond live with the Colvins, giving his son a new home away from the corner.
