For All Debts Public and Private

Contains spoilers for this episode and earlier episodes.

Tony demands higher payments from his captains as Junior's legal and medical bills mount. He also buys a warehouse using advance information from Assemblyman Zellman about redevelopment, keeping the investment from Junior. Carmela sees Angie Bonpensiero working in a supermarket and worries about her own future if Tony dies. His assurances do not satisfy her request for a clear financial plan. Tony keeps cash hidden in containers of duck feed rather than explaining his arrangements. Meanwhile, Paulie sits in an Ohio jail and complains to Johnny Sack that his friends have neglected him. Ralph secretly continues his relationship with Janice while still living with Rosalie.

Christopher's heroin use continues as Tony gives him greater responsibility. Tony tells Dr. Melfi that he intends to conduct more of his business through Christopher, whom he considers trustworthy because of their family connection. Adriana brings her friend Danielle into the Soprano home, unaware that she is an undercover FBI agent. Junior learns that another agent has been posing as a nurse at his doctor's office. Tony directs Christopher to retired detective Barry Haydu, claiming that Haydu murdered Christopher's father. Christopher breaks into the detective's house, confronts him and kills him despite his denials. He takes a twenty-dollar bill from Haydu's wallet and pins it to his mother's refrigerator.
