Johnny Sack moves to New Jersey and assures Tony that he is not intruding on his business. Ralph takes Jackie along on an extortion job and encourages unnecessary violence, while Tony appoints Gigi captain ahead of him. Janice's theft of Svetlana's prosthetic leg brings retaliation from Russian men, who assault her and recover it. Afterward, Janice presents her experience as the beginning of a religious awakening.
Melfi considers transferring Tony to a behavioral therapist, encouraged by both her former husband and her own psychiatrist. Before that transition happens, a man rapes her in the parking garage. Police arrest Jesus Rossi, but a failure in handling the evidence leads to his release. Melfi later recognizes his photograph on an employee-of-the-month display at a sandwich shop. Knowing his identity does not give her a successful prosecution or protection from him.
In a dream, a large dog attacks Rossi, and Melfi associates the animal with Tony and the revenge he could arrange. She conceals the assault from her patient, attributing her visible injuries to a car accident. When Tony says he is ready to try behavioral treatment, she breaks down and asks him to remain with her. He notices her distress and asks whether she wants to tell him something. Melfi firmly says no, choosing to keep the attack secret.
