Din Djarin brings Grogu into the covert's combat training and challenges Ragnar, another foundling, on his behalf. The child initially loses points in a dart contest, then uses his agility to win. A flying predator interrupts the training by carrying Ragnar away. Pursuit by jetpack fails when the Mandalorians run low on fuel, but Bo-Katan follows in her ship and locates its nest. She plans a quiet climb because blasters and engines could provoke the creature into killing its captive.
Grogu stays with the Armorer while the rescue party leaves. The forge brings back his memory of the attack on the Jedi Temple. In that flashback, other Jedi get him to Kelleran Beq, who fights past clone troopers and carries him away through Coruscant. Pursued through the city, Beq reaches allies with a waiting ship and escapes with Grogu. Back in the present, the Armorer gives the foundling a small beskar rondel, made from the contributions that support the covert's children.
Bo-Katan leads the party up to the nest, where Paz Vizsla reveals that Ragnar is his son. The predator returns and brings the boy out to feed its young, setting off an airborne struggle. The Mandalorians rescue Ragnar and return with the creature's chicks as additional foundlings. Bo-Katan has lost a shoulder plate during the operation, and the Armorer offers to replace it. She requests a Mythosaur emblem and says she saw the creature beneath the Living Waters. The Armorer treats the experience as a vision, despite Bo-Katan's insistence that it was real.
