Season synopsis

Hughie Campbell joins Billy Butcher after A-Train kills his girlfriend Robin and Vought tries to settle the death with money. A listening device planted inside Seven Tower brings the invisible Translucent after him. Butcher and Frenchie help capture the Supe, but Hughie makes the decision to kill him. Across town, Annie January joins the Seven as Starlight and discovers that the Deep can use his position to sexually coerce her.
The investigation follows A-Train's girlfriend Popclaw to Compound V and an imprisoned woman, Kimiko. Frenchie frees her, and the team learns that Vought manufactures powers by dosing children. Hughie grows close to Annie while hiding his role in the killings. Homelander and Maeve abandon a hijacked passenger plane after he destroys its controls, then Vought uses the disaster to argue that superheroes belong in the military.
When the Boys become fugitives, Hughie chooses to rescue his captured friends while Butcher pursues Madelyn Stillwell. Annie helps the prisoners escape, and Hughie tries to revive A-Train when the speedster suffers a heart attack. Homelander admits he created superpowered terrorists, securing the military deal. He kills Stillwell after discovering her lies, and Butcher detonates his explosives. Butcher survives to find Becca, the wife he believed dead, raising Homelander's son under Vought's protection.
