I Went to Market

Contains spoilers for this episode and earlier episodes.

Greg drives from Canada to New York with Logan’s estranged brother Ewan, whom Marcia has invited to Thanksgiving. Logan wants Waystar to buy more local news stations, despite warnings from his children and advisers. Kendall quietly starts gathering support for a vote of no confidence against Logan. Tom orders Greg to shred papers about the cruises scandal. Greg feeds the documents into the shredder but secretly keeps copies, preserving evidence Tom wants destroyed and creating a risk for both of them. Shiv presents Tom with a prenuptial agreement, and he questions its lack of protection against infidelity. He sends the agreement to his mother, a lawyer, for advice.

At dinner, Ewan challenges Logan over how the family conducts business. He storms out, and Kendall suggests that he might support a takeover because Ewan sits on the board. Ewan refuses to move against his brother and returns to warn Greg not to trust the Roys. Logan’s behavior worsens when he hits Kendall’s young son Iverson during a game. Gerri sees the outburst and changes her mind about Kendall’s plan, agreeing to support the no-confidence vote. After the others leave, Logan privately repeats the memory game from dinner, testing words he struggled to retain earlier in the evening.
