Yong-san's accusation leaves Ji-pyeong shaken as he learns that the young entrepreneur he criticized years earlier was Yong-san's brother Dong-su. Memories of that presentation expose the hurt behind Yong-san's desire to prove him wrong. While Ji-pyeong retreats, Demo Day goes ahead. In-jae faces questions about technology replacing workers, including a challenge from Do-san's father, and the argument gives father and son a chance to recognize each other's concerns.

Dal-mi pitches Noongil without Ji-pyeong beside the team. Questions about its accuracy become an opportunity for Do-san to explain the tradeoff between recognition and app size. A direct comparison with In-jae's technology favors Samsan Tech, which wins the competition. Dal-mi later thanks Ji-pyeong for the preparation that helped them succeed. Although he claims to be away with friends, she recognizes his isolation and leaves food at his door rather than forcing a conversation.

Alex offers to acquire Samsan Tech for three billion won and bring its staff to Silicon Valley. The team celebrates and discusses what to do with the money, including Dal-mi's idea for a self-driving car business. Ji-pyeong returns and realizes the proposal is an acquisition aimed at recruiting engineers, with consequences for the rest of the company and Noongil. Yong-san resists his warning. Before he can intervene, Dal-mi and Do-san sign the agreement, believing their shared future is secure.
