The failed uprising ends with surviving rebels surrounded by guards. Another vote keeps the games running while Gi-hun refuses to cast a ballot. He learns that Dae-ho failed to bring back the ammunition and begins fixing his anger on him. Jun-ho's team searches for the missing drone operator, with Captain Park claiming that he fell overboard while drunk. Woo-seok voices suspicions about the captain, but Jun-ho struggles to believe the man who rescued him could be sabotaging the hunt.
Hide and Seek divides the contestants into blue hiders with keys and red seekers with knives. Hiders must survive or escape the maze, while each seeker must kill an opposing player. Before the game, Myung-gi exchanges places with Jun-hee and Yong-sik swaps with Geum-ja, taking the killing role from the women. Dae-ho cannot persuade anyone to change with him and confronts Gi-hun over the failed revolt. Jun-hee enters the maze with Geum-ja and Hyun-ju; Myung-gi teams up with Nam-gyu outside. Gi-hun follows the seekers in, intent on finding Dae-ho.
