Egeria

Contains spoilers for this episode and earlier episodes.

Antony governs Rome while Caesar pursues Pompey, pushing through legislation and making the city's senators endure his contempt. News from Greece makes his position less comfortable: Caesar is outnumbered and needs the Thirteenth Legion to join him. Pompey's side offers Antony another course, leaving him to decide whether loyalty to Caesar is worth the danger. Atia also looks for protection if Caesar loses, proposing marriage to Antony and then seeking Servilia's help when he rejects her. Octavia carries the appeal to a woman her mother has already humiliated, while Octavian is sent away from Rome to continue his schooling.

Evander's disappearance keeps Vorenus's home in distress. Lyde grieves for her missing husband, and Niobe's guilt makes it difficult to resume intimacy with her own. Pullo ends the uncertainty by telling the women that Evander is dead, without admitting his responsibility for the killing. Lyde leaves in anger, and Niobe and Vorenus finally share a brief period of closeness before military orders separate them again. Pullo also guides Octavian through a visit to a brothel as part of the education Atia has demanded. Antony ultimately chooses to reinforce Caesar. For Vorenus and Pullo, the voyage to Greece ends in a storm that overwhelms their ship and leaves them fighting for their lives.
