Pablo and Limón seek refuge on the farm of Pablo's estranged father, Abel. Ordinary chores replace the comforts of the cartel's safe houses, and the reunion gives Pablo no easy welcome. Tata is also running out of options as the attorney general warns that protective custody cannot continue indefinitely. A guard supplies the authorities with the radio information that could help them follow her conversations with Pablo.
Los Pepes have stripped much of Pablo's organisation and begin dividing the benefits of their campaign. Judy Moncada becomes a problem for allies whose interests no longer match hers. Peña tries to protect her, but Don Berna and the CIA arrange her departure instead. Stechner tells Peña that Messina has been reassigned and that Judy's coming Miami Herald interview will expose his cooperation with Los Pepes without implicating the CIA.
At the farm, Limón discovers that buried cash has rotted. He visits Maritza to reclaim money, kills her when she resists and returns with only a small usable sum. Pablo argues with Abel and leaves the refuge, unable to recover either family comfort or financial security there. Martínez approves using the radio information to track him. Pablo finally reconnects with Tata, while Peña faces being sent home just as the official search gains a more direct way to locate its target.
