Spoilers for this episode.

The aftermath of the bombings leaves Elliot unable to explain himself to Krista. Mr. Robot takes over their therapy session and admits responsibility for Five/Nine, while rejecting the larger attack carried out in its wake. He later demands answers from Irving and is shown wealthy guests enjoying a party. Irving tells him that powerful people allowed his revolution to happen. Angela responds to the deaths differently, repeatedly rewinding footage of the explosions and telling Darlene that the victims can return.

In Arizona, Leon holds Trenton and Mobley after killing their roommate. He makes them help dispose of the body, and Trenton's attempt to escape in his car fails. Back at their apartment, Grant and the Dark Army prepare to use them as the perpetrators of another attack. The two hackers plead to survive, but they are forced into deaths that will look like suicide. Evidence planted around them falsely connects fsociety to Iran and to plans targeting air traffic control.

Tyrell's account directs the FBI towards Trenton and Mobley while Santiago blocks further scrutiny. In private, Santiago tells him that Joanna is dead and threatens his son to enforce his silence. The FBI raid finds the two hackers already dead, allowing Santiago to present the operation as a prevented attack. Dom sees how conveniently the evidence closes the case and remains convinced that Whiterose is behind it, even as her own organisation accepts the false explanation.
